individuals in the mentoring profession for over 10 years. His journey began after observing a need 
for this profession in his New Orleans neighborhood. He became a founding member of the 
organization, Brothers on a Mission, and served as the President, Vice President, and member of this 
organization for nine years. During his time, he was instrumental in developing after school 
programs for elementary grade youth. After receiving recognition for his efforts, he then assisted in 
the organization of after school programs for neighborhood community centers in the Greater New 
Orleans area. George also acted in the role of assistant coach for the New Orleans Recreational 
Department to assist in providing youth with learning social skills in a team setting through 
participation in social activities. In addition to servicing after school programs, George has also 
embedded himself as a motivational leader and male role model for single-parent households to aid 
in providing positive skill building for at-risk youth. George has also been a devoted volunteer at 
various churches and lower income neighborhood areas in the Greater Atlanta area to assist at-risk 
youth with developing a positive determine to succeed.
George currently provides mentoring services in the Greater Atlanta area to assist young males with 
overcoming barriers of low socioeconomic status, educational challenges, poor social bonding, and 
other major factors that contribute to aggressive tendencies among our youth. George provides 
conflict management and social skill building to assist our youth with being productive both mentally 
and physically in our society. In addition, George also works with various out-based community 
mental health teams in the Greater Atlanta area as a family support partner. His duties include 
assisting the families with gaining family cohesiveness by providing cognitive-behavioral teaching 
strategies for developing tools necessary to cope with kids with serious mental health disorders.
